Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are ‘desperate’ to reconnect with Princess Catherine

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly attempting to reconnect with Princess Kate to mend their fractured relationships within the royal family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not had a proper meeting with the Princess of Wales for several years, with Harry's last brief encounter with her occurring at King Charles' coronation in May 2023.

However, after Princess Kate revealed her cancer diagnosis to the world in March, the Sussexes have reportedly been eager to get in touch. "Meghan’s desperate to come across as the bigger person and end this feud between them — appearing like some sort of royal savior could only do her image good," a source told OK! magazine.

"When Kate gets back into action, their hope is that it might take some of the heat off them and possibly trigger a truce with her and William, and with the king, too."

The Princess of Wales, 42, revealed her cancer diagnosis to the world in March.


While Prince Harry has been on home soil twice this year, he has not met up with his estranged brother, Prince William, and his wife.

Instead, Harry only saw his father, King Charles, in February. He did not meet with any family members during his three-day trip to London in May.

The "Suits" alum, Meghan Markle, did not accompany her husband for either of the trips. Instead, she flew to London to meet Harry at Heathrow Airport before the pair immediately jetted off to Nigeria together.

Since their decision to step down as senior members of the Firm and relocate to the US, Harry and Meghan have been largely estranged from the royal family.

Soon after settling down in Montecito, California, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embarked on several high-profile projects that revealed significant details about the rift within the royal family. Following their interview with Oprah Winfrey, they released a six-part Netflix documentary and Harry's memoir, "Spare," which broke royal protocol.

These revelations reportedly widened the rift between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family, exacerbating existing tensions. Recently, it was reported that King Charles directly requested his estranged son to refrain from leaking personal details about the royal family's private life, indicating ongoing challenges in their relationship.
