Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are 'running out of time' to rejoin Royal Family because Prince William will be 'reluctant' to give his brother a role when he becomes King, says Richard Eden

Richard Eden's comments on Palace Confidential highlight a stark shift in the perception of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle within the royal family. According to Eden, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now considered "irrelevant" and "not wanted" by the remaining members of the monarchy. He emphasizes that time is running out for Prince Harry to reintegrate into the family while his father, Charles, is still King.

Speaking on the Mail+'s weekly talk show, Richard Eden, the Diary Editor of the Daily Mail (pictured), claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now 'not wanted' by the royal family

Eden contrasts this with Harry's previous central role within royal engagements, citing the Diamond Jubilee in 2012 where Harry, alongside his brother and other senior royals, played a significant part in the celebrations. However, since Harry and Meghan's relocation to the United States in 2020, their relationship with the royal family has evidently deteriorated.

These remarks underscore a growing sentiment that Harry and Meghan may have limited opportunities to reconcile with the royal family under current circumstances. The decision to step back from royal duties and subsequent moves by the Sussexes have apparently led to their marginalization within royal affairs, according to Eden's observations.

Richard Eden's comments suggest a significant shift in the dynamics within the British royal family regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He highlights King Charles' earlier expectations that Harry and his family would continue to play active roles in royal engagements alongside Prince William.

Eden speculates that King Charles may be more hesitant than their father, Prince Philip, to welcome Harry back into the royal fold if he attempts to do so in the future. Looking ahead to when Prince William ascends the throne, Eden expresses doubt that William would be willing to reinstate Harry into royal duties. He suggests that Harry and Meghan are currently perceived as irrelevant and unwanted within the monarchy.

During last week's episode of Palace Confidential, Richard Eden described the Sussexes as 'irrelevant'

These remarks reflect a perception that Harry and Meghan's departure from official royal duties and their subsequent moves have strained their relationship with the royal family to the extent that reintegration into royal life, especially under future monarchs, may become increasingly challenging or unlikely.

Richard Eden's observation about the potential for "radical change" reflects the uncertain future regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship with the royal family. This uncertainty comes amidst recent events, including Meghan's inadvertent overshadowing of another royal's public appearance with her new product announcement.

The incident involved Nacho Figueras, a friend of the Sussexes, posting about Meghan's new jam and dog biscuits just before Princess Kate's appearance at Trooping the Colour. This timing was seen as unfortunate and possibly undermining to Kate's moment, highlighting issues around coordination and sensitivity in the Sussexes' public relations efforts.

Rebecca English, a Royal Editor, emphasized the poor communication between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family, attributing it to a lack of trust. This sentiment echoes broader concerns about the Sussexes' integration into royal life, especially as they have increasingly pursued independent ventures and life outside traditional royal roles.

The absence of Harry and Meghan from recent royal events, including Trooping the Colour, further underscores their current distance from the core of royal activities. It suggests ongoing challenges in reconciling their personal ambitions with their historical ties and duties within the monarchy.

The comments and incidents discussed paint a picture of a complicated relationship between Harry, Meghan, and the royal family, with uncertainties about whether and how they might reintegrate into royal life in the future.
