The reason for her absence is that she wants to stay home and support her eldest son, Prince George, who is scheduled to have exams during the same week as the awards ceremony in November. Kate, along with Prince George and her other children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, will remain at their family residence in Windsor while Prince William attends the event.
