Meghan hits the big league! Duchess of Sussex signs with Hollywood talent agency WME
Meghan Markle has signed with talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME) to represent her and Prince Harry's content creation label, Archewell. Although Markle has a background in acting, Variety reports that she will not be focusing on that area. Instead, she will work with WME on film and television production, brand partnerships, and overall business-building.
The Duchess of Sussex has signed with one of the most powerful agencies in Hollywood, William Morris Endeavor Agent Jill Smoller will be among those working with Meghan. Smoller is best known for her work with athletes including Serena Williams and is considered a female pioneer in the world of sports agency WME CEO Ari Emanuel, brother of Obama's former chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, will also be working with Meghan Managing partner Brad Slater is also part of the duchesses package, he's known to cater to some of WME's biggest movie star clients
WME will represent Archewell, the content creation label founded by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and work with the Duchess on various projects including film and television production, brand partnerships, and overall business-building. While Markle has a background in acting, she stated in a 2022 interview with Variety that she is not considering a return to acting in the near future. Instead, she expressed her interest in focusing on Archewell and the stories and productions the company takes on, particularly those that reflect her and her husband's love story, which she believes resonates with people around the world.
Markle is interested in producing scripted content, such as rom-coms. Archewell has already produced two docuseries, including Netflix's 'Harry & Meghan,' and the couple is still engaged in a deal with the streaming giant. The news of Markle's signing with WME comes after the couple's public appearance at a Los Angeles Lakers game, where they were seen with other celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Adam Sandler. This was their first public outing in over a month, and the couple recently made headlines for announcing they will not attend Prince Charles' Coronation in London next month.
