The couple was mostly funded by King Charles' Duchy of Cornwall estate while they were senior working royals. According to reports, Prince Harry received an average of £2.3 million per year from the Duchy of Cornwall, which covered most of the couple's expenses, including staff salaries and office costs. The remaining five per cent of their annual income was provided by the taxpayer-funded Sovereign Grant, which is allocated to support the official duties of the most senior members of the royal family.
